Pacific Coast Camp 2010

      Well, where to begin? CAMP was AMAZING this year! the preaching, fellowship, recreation, attitudes, food.... were all great! I hope every young person left the camp saying "I refuse to be a part of another generation". I will be posting more pictures, but here is just a few. p.s. got any camp stories? I LOVE CAMP STORIES :-)

Where are the days going?!?!?!?!

I cannot believe how fast time is flying. It seems like just yesterday Michael and I got engaged and started planning and it has been TWO WHOLE months! In three days is Family Camp!!! I am not even packed!!! It seems like all I do is get up in the morning and do wedding stuff, barely eat, go to bed, and repeat the process.

It is kinda fun I do have to admit. It is definately an exciting time. Although it can get a bit overwhelming. I do have to say I have the greatest help, Mom Truck has been amazing! We have been brewing up some great ideas, we are a great team. (Mike included of course. I feel so bad, he does kinda feel left out)

I have the baker, photographer-the AMAZING Kari Morgan, reception place all lined up. We are working on a florist as we speak. The reception is all inclusive kinda which makes it soo much easier!

Anyway today Mike had my watch engraved!!! When he proposed he didn't have much time since he was planning to suprise and all. He was too busy trying to get the menu all taken care of ;). Since then I have been very paitent even though he might not say so. Regardless he suprised me! It was very sweet and thoughtful, it says "'Sherry, "I am Yours Till The End Of Time.' -Mike 4-17-10"

We had our save the dates send out today, I am so proud of myself!!! lol. I have written over 100 addresses, I do not want to see addresses as long as I live. The invitations will be better since they will have labels.

Now I have to get packing for camp! Can't wait!!!!

Visiting the Marchbanks

    This past weekend I went up to Fortuna, CA to visit my dear friend Cherie and her wonderful family! I cannot correctly put into words how much fun I had up there! Cherie thought I came just to visit but I totally surprised her(her words lol.)I had planned to ask Cherie to be one of my bridesmaids and her parents and grandparents were the only ones that knew!

    I got there about 5pm on Friday and we visited at here house. The next morning we went to the Mall in Eureka and to Downtown Eureka. We had lunch at this amazing Mexican restaurant and had an entertaining show of "catching flies." All I can say  is you should have been there! We then headed to the Beach and that is when I gave Cherie her card and she said, "Ya if we even go" not realizing that her parents knew this whole time. We did some shopping and had so many laughs!Sunday we went to Sunday School and the Church. What tremendous services! I really enjoyed each service and especially Grandma Lois! I enjoyed meeting the Elder Marchbanks and your Church family. I have to admit it was too short of a trip but I had a blast!

30th Church Anniversary 4.30.2010

Our Church just celebrated 30 years. The outcome of the service and the dinner afterward was incredible. It turned out so beautiful. I will be posting pictures soon.

I AM ENGAGED TO THE MOST HANDSOME MAN

It happened April 17, 2010 at about 7:15 pm. Here is how the most Wonderful day of my life went:

First and foremost April 17th was Mom's Birthday!!!! We had planned to go see Beauty and the Beast, Mike's old High School was putting it on. We had along Madi (Mike's niece) and Shadi (My little sister.) Mike's brother Chad, his wife, Victoria and their kids Natalee and Taylor came to the play to surprise Mom on her Birthday!

So at the play Mom is surprised! Mike got me a rose before the play (SO SWEET.) The play was AWESOME! Afterwards we went back to the house and had the most gorgeous cake that Chad and Victoria got for Mom's birthday and she opened her presents.

Chad and Victoria get a head start because they had to "go by somewhere" which I thought was for Mom. This whole time Mom knew and she acted like she didn't know where we were going. I also do have to admit I got upset with Mike because he wasn't including me in the plans they were making for Mom. Not to mention I almost didn't go to dinner because I had a project due that night! ( I was so stressed!)

Anyway so we finally get there. We get seated and everyone is getting a menu handed to them except me! SO by this time I am getting kinda antsy and I try to take Mike's menu, he is reluctant. I finally get a menu handed to me. While everyone is taking pictures randomly. I start reading the menu and say "Everything sounds so good!" Mom says (as she is holding the camera) "you should look on the next page it is really good!" ( by the way I am still oblivious to what is going on)

So I turn the page obediently. First thing I notice is, "How did they get our picture? Why do they have big letter fading into the menu's background? Did we win something? Does everyone's menu have this?"...."what does it say...Will you move...?"  I look over at Mike to see his menu, he is one his knee with a watch his hand. I smiled and I started to cry. Then I thought to myself, "I AM SUPPOSED TO SAY YES!" I am such a Blonde! This day meant to much to me and I will always remember it as the greatest day!!!

You are the my greatest friend and I love you with all of my heart. It has been almost six years since we first started liking each other. We have been through so much. All in all I love you more each day! You are my dream come true. I cannot wait to marry you! I love you like a fat kid loves cake!
